Although the Gene-Chain has been open for business as a marketplace since Nov 2018 (we have already seen 100 transactions on it) and was functional for creating profiles as far back as April 2018, the final bits of functionality we have been striving for are now complete. Anyone can use their erc20 DNA tokens to buy and sell data now. Importing them into your wallet at http://my.encrypgen.com to use for buying genomic data, or exporting them back to your personal erc20 DNA wallet of choice is all easy, fast, and intuitive.

This does not mean we are done improving the platform, far from it. In the weeks to come expect a new tool for researchers: custom surveys. This will allow for follow-up data gathering from researchers, making their ability to use the Gene-Chain for research significantly better. We already have a university research group eager to have this functionality and applying for a grant that would fund them purchasing 200+ kits for their study recruits. Later in the year, expect our new B2B product as part of our role as a Microsoft Startup.

Great things are on the horizon, we are gaining users every day, facilitating trades and helping science along the way. My congratulations to the world’s greatest developers, including Notis, Paris, and the whole team. Today is a tremendous milestone. We have made history yet again.

Now we will shoot for straight growth, still pushing for 10k users by 2020. This is the focus of our current VC efforts which are proceeding apace. Stay tuned!
